Massive Campus Upgrade Signals New Era for Emergency Vehicle Production in Goshen

Goshen is poised for a significant economic boost as Wright Industries prepares to pour 18 million dollars into a massive operational expansion. During an announcement on Friday, Indiana Governor Mike Braun highlighted the move as a win for Elkhart County, noting that the investment leverages the region’s renowned expertise in the recreational vehicle sector to fuel further industrial growth.

The ambulance and specialty vehicle manufacturer has simply run out of room at its current 72,000 square foot site. To solve the space crisis, the company purchased the former Wabash National Services property on Kercher Road. This sprawling new campus covers 72 acres and consists of 12 separate buildings totaling roughly 380,000 square feet, giving Wright Industries ample breathing room to scale its production capabilities.

This physical growth translates directly into employment opportunities for local residents. Company leadership expects to create more than 250 high paying positions by the end of 2028. CEO David Wright credited the state’s pro business environment and strong regional talent pool as primary drivers behind the decision to double down on their commitment to the Goshen community.

Renovations are already underway at the expansive new facility, with staff expected to begin relocating their operations as early as next week. By expanding its footprint so aggressively, Wright Industries aims to secure long term stability and opportunity for its employees and suppliers while cementing its role as a key player in emergency vehicle manufacturing.
